Article Directory's are possibly one of the most important resources that an Internet Marketer can have. Newer marketer have misconceptions with Article Directories, These include the opinion that the directories have to approve there articles. This is not at all true, when you submit articles across the net, your submitting them to separate privately owned directory's. The owner inevitably has the right to approve your articles or dismiss them as not being a quality article. Thats why its important to try to stick to the rules. As you write your articles, make sure there on topic and relevant, this will give you a much better opportunity for your work to be approved. Remember, different directories have rules that vary for directory to directory. Some will accept work that is 250 words, others require 400 words and up.

This is all dependent on the owner and webmaster and there rules that they set forth. This not only affects the site, but also the articles and links submitted.

These spammers are also making there sites worth less, Google checks links. If they didn't, there would be no Google PageRank, Alexa checks as well. Google has also been penalizing those that pay for links on High PR sites. The reason this has been happening is, Google wants fresh content and for people not to manipulate the Internet System. When people use these “Black Hat” tactics they hurt everyone, including you and me. That seems to be the way it always is the world over.

Article Marketing is the art of writing articles for exposure of your webpages and or business. I cannot stress enough as a webmaster of an article directory, these articles must be on topic. They also must contain links that are relevant to the article and category that you have posted the work to. You should never attempt to write an article about say, “hair loss” and post it in food and have links that point to football or something else that is crazy. This to is seen as a spam tactic, most webmasters including myself will ban for this reason. It's your responsibility as the author to make sure your work is correct before submitting it.

With care and respect, you can do a lot of good with Article Directorys and Article Marketing. Make sure your articles are on topic and you have used your keywords and SEO techniques to get the job done. In time you will gain valuable Backlinks to your site and valuable traffic.
